AWAY FROM THE RUNWAY, BAKU FASHION WEEK CONTINUES TO CREATE MOMENTS WHERE FASHION INTERSECTS WITH ART, DESIGN, AND CULTURE. CHELEBI'S PRIVATE SHOWCASE OFFERED PRECISELY THAT—AN INVITATION TO EXPERIENCE A BRAND THROUGH ITS ENVIRONMENT RATHER THAN ITS PRODUCTS ALONE.

During Baku Fashion Week FW26/27, CHELEBI welcomed our international guests and local members of the brand community to its showroom for the Private Showcase. The immersive Chelebi showroom continues to explore the dialogue between Azerbaijani cultural heritage and contemporary design. Founded in 2013 by artist and cultural patron Aida Mahmudova, the brand has established a distinctive visual language rooted in craftsmanship, architecture, and material storytelling.  

The presentation transformed the showroom into a living environment where furniture, objects, ceramics, and textiles existed as part of a carefully composed spatial narrative. Drawing inspiration from Azerbaijan’s historical architecture and decorative arts, the collection reflected a refined balance between tradition and modernity. Among the highlighted works were the Khudafarin Dining Set, inspired by the rhythm of historic bridges, the sculptural Bugelemun Coffee Table crafted from individually fired tiles, and the Divankhane Pouf referencing the ceremonial forms of the Shirvanshahs’ Palace.  

Alongside furniture pieces, CHELEBI presented porcelain collections inspired by the frescoes of the Sheki Khans’ Palace, textiles influenced by traditional craftsmanship, and ceramic works based on motifs from the Azerbaijan National Museum of Art. The showroom experience also featured collaborations with international designers, emphasizing the brand’s ongoing commitment to connecting local artisanal traditions with contemporary global design perspectives.   

Through atmosphere, texture, and cultural references, CHELEBI continues to position its Baku showroom as a destination where heritage and modern design seamlessly converge.
